Student Assistant Program
At The Dance Method, we understand that expenses of having a pre-teen/teenager can really add up. We also know the importance of wholesome recreational activities, positive peer influences, exercise, the arts, and job experience. This is why we have created the "Student Assistant Program"--to help offset the cost of your dancer's tuition so that they don't have to miss out on any of these wonderful opportunities for growth and friendship.
Our program offers two options:
1. Volunteer as an assistant at TDM, and clock those hours as community service hours for graduation.
2. Assist in a TDM class and use the time assisted as credit toward an additional class.
As an assistant, your duties will include (but won't necessarily be limited to): being an example in class (both for positivity and instruction), keep students attentive and engaged, escort students to the restroom, take photos and videos, help with crafts and other activities where applicable, and clean up props and other materials used in class.
Interested students must be 10 years of age or older and have reliable transportation. Student assistants must be enrolled in at least two (2) classes at The Dance Method. This program requires an application process, and classes (to assist in) will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis. Aspiring assistants will not be considered until they have registered for classes.

We are looking for individuals who fit the following criteria:
- You LOVE children and youth
- You radiate positivity
- You are humble and teachable
- You have a background in dance
- You are eager to learn and grow through continued dance education
- You are honest, diligent, and work well both independently and with others
- You have your own transportation
- You are willing to be background checked, and become CPR/First Aid Certified
- You can commit to at least one full year (season) of teaching with us
(Teaching experience not required, but is a bonus! We will train you if needed!)
